Certifications and Licenses :

Current Florida Registered Nurse License

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) (preferred; can be completed onsite)

Job Description :

Join the dedicated team at Lower Keys Medical Center as a Travel Labor & Delivery RN. This critical role requires providing compassionate, evidence-based care during all phases of obstetrical and neonatal care — including antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. As a key team member, you will utilize the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies to ensure the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns.

You will be responsible for coordinating patient care, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership, and maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education. Flexibility to float to other units such as nursery, postpartum, or Mother / Baby is required based on the facility’s needs.

What You Bring :

Proven experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, or Mother / Baby units (minimum of 2 prior travel assignments strongly preferred).

Ability to adapt and provide care across multiple units as needed.

Strong critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Commitment to maintaining and enhancing clinical competencies through continuing education and certifications.

Flexibility to work night shifts and handle varying patient care demands.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

Prior travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery or related units.

Experience in neonatal care, postpartum, and nursery environments.

Additional Details : Rate : $85 / hour

Duration : 13 weeks

Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured and addresses provided before acceptance.

Candidates must have reviewed housing costs and arrangements prior to submission.

Facility requires AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) compliance for Florida placements.
