We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgical Technologist to provide exceptional care and support in the operating room. In this vital role, you will be integral to patient outcomes and surgical success.

General Requirements :

  • Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.

  • Complete all job functions according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge in your area of responsibility through self-education and ongoing educational programs.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory training and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrate competency at all levels in providing care based on patients' age, sex, weight, and specific needs.
  • Utilize appropriate protective clothing and equipment.

Working Conditions :

  • Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels.
  • Be prepared for exposure to high noise levels and bright lights.
  • Handle limited hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms.
  • Adapt to shifting tasks efficiently and calmly.
  • Manage periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

    • Qualifications :

    Education Requirements :

  • Vocational / Technical Degree in an Accredited Surgical Technology Program (Required).

    • Experience Requirements :

  • 3 - 4 years of experience as a Cardiovascular / Thoracic Surgical Technologist (Preferred).

    • Certifications and Licenses :

  • Certified Surgical Technologists (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

    • General Skills :

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer relations and ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Near normal vision and clarity of vision (both near and far).
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks / motion.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Standing continuously throughout the shift (67-100%).
  • Walking continuously throughout the shift (67-100%).
  • Sitting occasionally within the shift (1-33%).
  • Bending / Stooping occasionally (1-33%).
  • Twisting at the waist frequently (34-66%).
  • Pushing / Pulling frequently (34-66%).
  • Lifting / carrying over 20 lbs with assistance frequently (34-66%).
  • Reaching above shoulder frequently (34-66%).
