JOB SUMMARY :
A Maintenance Technician ensures the satisfactory upkeep of plant tools, equipment, and
machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Satisfactory and timely completion of paperwork, reports, work orders, and audits
- Perform maintenance functions safely though the appropriate use of hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and various machines including a scissor lift and fork truck
- Use test equipment such as a multi-meter, oscilloscope and pressure gauges
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities and identify opportunities for improvements
- Efficiently communicate progress, updates, and concerns to appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Effectively navigate, utilize, and create various software and machine programs, including CNC
- Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through the timely completion of projects, respectful communication, utilizing teamwork, integrity, accountability and excellence
- Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities :
Ability to apply wiring schematics and diagrams, layout drawings, and PLC ladder logicAbility to make quality judgements and prioritize responsibilities to minimize plant downtimeAbility to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measureRequired Education and Experience :
High school diploma or G.E.D.Two (2) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentRequired Physical Ability :
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, climb, and perform various duties from a ladder at various heightsFrequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushingRegularly lift and / or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and / or move up to 100lbBenefits of working for American Woodmark include :
