Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to perform CPSE evaluations for preschool-aged children. The OT Evaluator will assess fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and functional performance to help determine eligibility for special education services and develop appropriate service recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for children ages 35 as part of the CPSE process.
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments (e.g., Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, BOT-2, Sensory Profile) and informal functional observations.
- Evaluate areas such as fine motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care, and motor planning.
- Write detailed, clinically-sound evaluation reports.
Qualifications
Licensed Occupational Therapist in New York State (or applicable state licensure).Experience with pediatric populations, particularly preschool-aged children.Familiarity with CPSE processes preferred.Strong knowledge of child development and pediatric assessment tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to travel to homes, childcare centers, or agency locations for evaluations.Compensation & Schedule
