Job description

Campus Vet Clinic is growing and adding doctors to our team. We are looking to add experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians to support them.

  • Salary : $28 - 35 per hour depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
  • Schedule : Full-time, four 8-hour shifts
  • Location : 1807 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Berkeley, CA 94709

  • Who You Are :

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California, or eligible to transfer / acquire state license within 3 months of hire
  • 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment, experience with Cornerstone software a plus
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dental Experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing
  • Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation; Idexx laboratory equipment
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
