Overview

Join the Davenport University Medical Assistant Program role at MyMichigan Health . The program offers Part-time and Full-time options and requires a 2-year work commitment after transferring into your MA role.

Program Details

Program Length : 15 weeks
Training Format : Online / on-demand, 24 / 7 access
Program Cost : $2,495 (covered by MyMichigan Health as part of the 2-year commitment)

Responsibilities

Provide responsible communication in a healthcare setting

Comply with HIPAA / HITECH, OSHA, CMS and other healthcare regulations and laws

Comprehend the use of Diagnosis and Procedure codes and employ Electronic Health Records

Gain an understanding of laboratory and specimen collection, cardiopulmonary testing, pharmacology and medication administration

Record vital signs, take medical histories and prepare patients and rooms for examinations

Certifications & Licensures

All books included

CCMA Exam voucher included (initial); employee has 30 days to take the CCMA exam after program completion. Retake is student responsibility.

How to Apply

Pass a criminal background check (waived for current employees).

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Payment options include credit card and invoice; invoices can be issued for multiple registrations.

2025 Proposed Dates

Jan 12th – May 2nd (Must apply by Wednesday, November 26th at 5pm to be considered for this cohort).
