Job Description
Standard Office Day Shift (Regular office hours 8-5 Monday - Friday). Production B Shift (M-Th 3 : 30p – 2a). Production C Shift (F-Su 5a – 5p).

General Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes : fabrication, assembly, and integration.Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule for hardware manufacturing processes.Perform engineering drawing impact assessments, reviews and approvals for manufacturing.Disposition non-conformance repair and rework activities.Design proper material handling and packaging solutions to protect hardware.Manage hardware configuration and steward build and test pedigrees.Closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process.Support the manufacturing floor in assembly and installation, compliance to engineering requirements, discrepancy resolution, and component acceptance testing.Perform a hands-on engineering and liaison role between our design, test, and operations teams and our manufacturing customers.Investigate root causes, disposition vehicle discrepancies, and take ownership of preventative and corrective actions.Drive design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA).Qualifications
BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university3 or more years direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment supporting constantly evolving design iterationsDemonstrated ability in component fabrication, precision assembly, and testing using a variety of methods, techniques, and materialsAbility to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test proceduresStrong aptitude for mechanical system design and hands-on fabrication experienceExperience with designing, measuring, modifying, and monitoring processesComfortable working with computers and engineering softwareAbility to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organizationExceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills, particularly in regards to attention to detailAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionAerospace / Launch vehicle experience.Broad experience in hardware manufacturing : welding, assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, packaging, fabrication, machining, etc.General proficiency with CAD.Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems / Software and processesKnowledge of fabrication processes, integration processes, systems engineering practices, test, quality, and configuration management systemsUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaFamiliar with applicable industry standardsCompany Information
