Inpatient Pharmacist in Charge - Hayward, CA

A Behavioral Health organization in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations at two small inpatient psychiatric facilities located within 1015 miles of each other in San Leandro and Oakland, CA. This part-time contract position provides regulatory oversight, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and supports medication management processes to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for two behavioral health inpatient sites.
• Conduct monthly medication room audits to verify proper storage, documentation, and compliance.
• Attend facility committee meetings, including Infection Prevention and Joint Commission / regulatory compliance.
• Provide on-site oversight periodically to uphold operational standards and readiness for surveys.
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative leadership to promote safe medication-use practices.
• Ensure alignment with services provided by the facilitys preferred pharmacy vendor.
