Job description

Job Title : Purchasing Manager

Schedule : Fully Onsite, MondayFriday

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is responsible for managing a purchasing team, optimizing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to support production and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a purchasing team overseeing an annual spend of approximately $4 million.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with ISO standards to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Conduct bi-weekly forecasting and spend analysis to support inventory planning and budget management.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between sales, warehouse, and purchasing departments to resolve scheduling conflicts, production issues, and customer-driven changes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent material availability and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Oversee the transition of ERP systems from server-based to cloud-based platforms, acting as the internal lead for system migration and process optimization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure alignment with company standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and ERP systems
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fully onsite environment with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
