Job Opportunity : Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist is tasked with scaling the reach and impact of The Jewish Board's outpatient programs by developing and executing strategic outreach initiatives, cultivating community and institutional partnerships, and supporting sustainable growth of its Clinics and CCBHCs.

Position Overview

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the strategic expansion of The Jewish Board's Staten Island Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC). This role involves developing and executing outreach strategies, building referral networks, and fostering partnerships to increase access to care. The position requires collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders to align growth initiatives with programmatic goals and community needs.

Key Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote the Staten Island CCBHC and drive referrals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with referral sources including hospitals, primary care providers, schools, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Represent The Jewish Board at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for service expansion.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative teams and Marketing Department to align outreach efforts with program capacity and strategic goals.
  • Track and report on outreach activities, referral outcomes, and business development metrics.
  • Assist in the development of culturally relevant marketing materials and digital content.
  • Support grant writing and proposal development efforts related to program growth.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of behavioral health regulations, funding streams, and competitive landscape in New York.
  • Ensure culturally competent engagement with diverse populations and communities.

  • Educational / Training Required :

    Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.

    Experience Required / Language Preference :

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, outreach, or community engagement within behavioral health or healthcare settings. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for outreach activities.

    Computer Skills Required :

    Microsoft Office competency, including use of spreadsheet.

    Work Environment / Physical Effort :

    The work environment involves limited physical risk or hazardous conditions. To perform the essential functions of this job, the candidate is routinely required to sit (50% of the time) and stand or be in the community (50% of the time). This is a hybrid position; must be able to travel to visit programs in Staten Island.
