The position resides in the Industrial and Commercial project delivery team and focuses on large-scale industrial (water, wastewater, and warehouses) and commercial high-rise buildings.
Responsibilities
- WIP : interpret data and understand material meaning
- Complete Change Order pricing, AP / AR, purchase orders, subcontracts, schedule of values, and productivity tracking
- Billing strategy and management : timing, variances, stored material
- Contract review process assistance with senior PMs
- Cost to complete forecasts
- Teach and leverage PM1 guidance
- Build and maintain project schedules, track change orders and resourcing
- Identify and mitigate risk
- Read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, vendor shop drawings, and specifications
- Basic estimating understanding for CO scope collection
- Follow Stansell's project delivery methodology and capture risks with mitigation plans
- Communicate with Subcontractors, Customers, Owners, Vendors; negotiate as needed
- Understand plans and specifications
- Interface with project-level personnel; resolve conflicts and maintain customer relationships
- Advance internal communication and collaboration; leverage technology and Microsoft tools
- Competence with cloud-based and local storage solutions and company-specific software
Qualifications
General knowledge of the electrical fieldFamiliarity with electrical materials and construction methods, including requirements for different construction typesStrong ethics and service orientationProject management training or experience preferredBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related job experience2–5 years of experience as a Project Manager (willingness to learn and adapt accepted); infrastructure / transportation experience is highly desiredBenefits
