HeartShare St. Vincents Services (HSVS) Creative Solutions Program is a community-based art and wellness program that is committed toa client centered family-focused and culturally responsive creative approach to clinical services that is focused on healing through creativity. Creative Solutions is committed to a client-centered approach working with youth and families living with trauma mental health challenges and systemic inequities. welcoming all persons with kindness and respect and effectively engaging clients in a broad spectrum of high quality highly individualized behavioral health services. Creative Solutions utilizes the power of art to foster resilience connection and emotional Solutions partners with local organizations school and community centers to provide accessible trauma-informed arts programming.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position :

• Assists in the facilitation of group art therapy and creative wellness workshops
• Build rapport with participants and foster a safe inclusive and supportive group environment
• Supports community-based events and exhibitions that showcase participant art.
• Serves as a role model for program participants.
• Participates in weekly supervision and training to build professional growth ensure accountability and quality services for families.
• Completes documentation in compliance identified agency / program standards
• Provides crisis intervention services and safety plans as needed.
• Works collaboratively with collateral contacts team members and internal and external providers and documents all accordingly.
• Maintains a weekly schedule and completes all documentation required
• Conducts assessments standardized screens and develops treatment plans to address client needs.
• Conducts videoconferencing and in home sessions with clients in the Coney Island Communitywhen appropriate.
• In addition to any otherresponsibilities within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited institution preferably in Art Therapy or a related field.

Possess a New York State License in one of the following professions (preferred) :

Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Experience providing mental health counseling to adults youth and families.

Experience or interest in creative modalities such as art therapy dance therapy or music therapy is a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.

Work Schedule

Tuesdays : 3 : 00 PM 8 : 00 PM (Afternoon to Evening)

Fridays : 3 : 00 PM 8 : 00 PM (Evening)

Saturdays : 11 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM (Morning to Afternoon)

Total weekly hours : Approximately 15 hours.
