Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and certification as RT(N) or CNMT.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in an acute care hospital nuclear medicine unit
  • Shift is Monday through Wednesday, 3x8-hour day shifts with varying start times between 7 : 00 AM and 8 : 30 AM
  • No call or floating required
  • Daily caseload per tech is up to 12 cases across three procedure rooms
  • Typical procedures include bone scans, thyroid and parathyroid scans, cardiac and stress tests, sentinel node localization, VQ scans, lung, renal, hepatobiliary, liver, spleen, gastric emptying, and GI studies
  • Uses Epic for charting, Epic experience preferred
  • Scrub color requirement is pewter / gray
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • No call or holiday requirement specified
  • No block scheduling available
  • No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment and up to 7 days RTO per 13 week contract is highly encouraged
  • Permanent employees must wait one year before returning to this health system as a traveler
  • Travelers can remain for 18 months with a required 3-month break after
  • Facial hair must comply with fit testing requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Current RT(N) or CNMT certification required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Ability to perform stress tests, bone scans, thyroid, parathyroid, GI studies, and lung scans
  • Valid MO state license required if applicable; pending IL license may be accepted for Illinois positions
  • Must reside outside a 75 mile radius from the facility
