Job descriptionAssist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasties, and other interventional cardiology procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety. Operate and maintain specialized imaging and monitoring equipment in the Cath Lab. Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures. Administer contrast media and medications under physician direction. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes accurately in medical records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Assist with post-procedure patient care and recovery monitoring. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain readiness for emergency situations. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist. Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential, depending on facility requirements. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association). ACLS certification preferred. Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, equipment, and safety protocols. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Zilker Metropolitan Park – Outdoor recreation, botanical gardens, and home to the annual Austin City Limits Festival. Blanton Museum of Art – View collections of modern and contemporary art at the University of Texas. Mount Bonnell – Hike to one of the city’s highest points for panoramic views of Austin and the Colorado River. Rainey Street Historic District – Enjoy nightlife with bungalow-style bars, food trucks, and live music. Congress Avenue Bridge Bats – Watch the famous bat colony emerge at sunset from March through October. Austin Food Scene – Sample world-famous barbecue (Franklin Barbecue, Terry Black’s) and Tex-Mex cuisine. The Domain & Downtown Shopping – Upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Outdoor Adventures – Explore nearby Hill Country for hiking, wineries, and scenic drives.
