Title : Clinical Center Associate Trainee / Clinical Center Associate I - Ambulatory Breast Clinic

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Clinical Center Associate Trainee or Clinical Center Associate I. The Clinical Center Trainee is a trainee position designed to provide hands-on experience and training in clinical operations. Incumbents will perform trainee-level duties under supervision, with the goal of progressing to the full performance level of a Clinical Center Associate I. Starting hourly rate is $19.55. The Clinical Center Associate I performs clerical support functions in an assigned inpatient or outpatient center(s) of the organization; answers routine inquiries; screens calls; assists visitors and patients; records and transcribes physician orders; maintains and coordinates clinic schedules; manages the co-pay collection process; participates in the team or group work activities in the center(s); performs the above duties and responsibilities in a confidential environment requiring direct supervision with limited latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative. Starting hourly rate is $21.81.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience :

• Medical Office Assistant Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
• Associate's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
• High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
• High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
• High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
• NOTE : Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

The ideal candidate should have secretarial, customer service experience and working in a medical / receptionist environment.
