Senior Collections Specialist

We are working with a financial services company seeking an experienced Senior Collections Specialist to join their Oak Brook team. In this role, you'll manage complex and delinquent consumer loan accounts, negotiate repayment arrangements, and support junior collectors with guidance and expertise. You'll play a key part in helping customers find solutions while meeting department recovery goals and maintaining compliance with all regulations.

The Senior Collections Specialist will be onsite 5 days a week in Oak Brook with potential for a hybrid schedule down the line. Our client is hoping to have someone start ASAP and brings prior experience with loan collections.

Responsibilities :

• Manage a portfolio of past-due consumer loan accounts and negotiate payment solutions.
• Handle escalated or complex cases requiring advanced communication and problem-solving.
• Mentor and support other team members to improve performance and effectiveness.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate account trends to management.
