Logistics Manager

Position Summary
This position will be responsible for leading logistics personnel and requirements to ensure highly efficient and effective logistics operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively works with Supply Chain Directors, Managers, Supervisors and third-party logistics providers and / or intermediaries to ensure material required for operations is flowing through the system to meet company’s operational and customer contractual obligations.Manages compliance and logistics team members to ensure all activities are in accordance to company’s Standards, Polices or Procedures to efficiently and effectively move material into / from the final destinations. Provide guidance and solutions for highly complex or critical transactions; demonstrates appropriate actions to ensure team members continue their learning experience. Research and apply with available resources best practices in logistics & trade strategy.Conduct freight forwarder and custom broker’s assessments in accordance with policies and procedures.Provide guidance to develop and assigns goals, objectives and maintain accountability for direct reports.Monitor Key performance indicators (KPI’s) and provide coaching to team members to deliver continuous improvement in results. Focus on cost savings and cost avoidance, service delivery
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Experience and Education
Education Level
High School Diploma or required for this position. Associate Degree / Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.Experience
8+ years’ experience in Logistics and at least 5+ years in progressive leadership rolesLicenses and Certifications
