Physician Extender (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)

(NAS-P Gulfport, MS)

Maxmed Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide services within the Deployment Related Health Assessment program at Gulfport, MS.

Work Hours :

Services are normally provided Monday through Friday, 8.5 to 9 hours per day between 0700 and 1600, including a 0.5 to 1-hour unpaid meal break. The schedule may be flexible within department hours. The HCW will work 80 hours every two weeks, with no more than 80 hours in that period.

Duties :

• Provide comprehensive primary and specialty medical care within their training and privileges, including screenings, examinations, immunizations, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling.
• Manage a variety of diseases and injuries, recognize emergencies, and refer complex cases to physicians.
• Educate staff and patients, promote preventive care, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to facilitate primary care services and participate in staff meetings and training.
