Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Provide professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) standards

    • \n

  • Use nursing process through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients from neonate through geriatric age population

    • \n

  • Subject to scheduled on-call assignments as needed due to community event influence on Emergency Department patient volumes

    • \n

  • Triage every patient entering the emergency care system and determine care priorities based on physical and psycho-social needs

    • \n

  • Perform hourly rounding in department and half-hour rounding in waiting room when patients are waiting

    • \n

  • Document in-depth nursing history including chief complaint, health care status, and pertinent information

    • \n

  • Develop and implement care plans based on ongoing assessments with continuous updates to meet patient and family needs

    • \n

  • Manage all types of complications and emergencies per facility policies and ENA standards

    • \n

  • Recognize changes in patient health status and direct appropriate care for patient safety

    • \n

  • Implement health education for emergency department patients and families

    • \n

  • Current Pennsylvania RN licensure required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (all American Heart Association standards with renewal every two years)

    • \n

  • Valid National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

    • \n

  • Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills essential

    • \n

  • Must demonstrate high level of mental and emotional tolerance with professional attitude
