The Supervisor - Bistro & Catering supports our mission and values by coordinating all phases including day to day operations supervision of food and beverage functions in the Greens Bistro and Pub.

The Supervisor - Bistro & Catering's primary responsibilities will include :

  • Teamwork-Relations with co-workers, other departments and leadership team.
  • Manages service aspects in the Green Bistro and Pub and The Greens Catering
  • Hires, manages and assures proper training of staff in all standards of quality, service and sanitation.
  • Oversees or creates, maintains and distributes monthly schedule for staff and communicates changes as appropriate to all. Expectation to cover all events and shifts if unable to find other coverage.
  • Expectation to be a working supervisor on a daily basis
  • Evaluates and supervises performance and carries out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with the Brethren Care policies and guidelines.
  • Completes and administers employee performance appraisals.
  • Make rounds of all food and beverage outlets to ensure all guest needs are met.
  • Controls costs of all food and beverage outlets by overseeing or ordering, purchasing, maintaining effective profit and loss controls, inventory, monitoring labor costs following demand patterns and meeting budget.
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting for POS system in the Green Bistro and Pub and The Greens Catering

What is required in this position?

  • Experience in responsibility in food and beverage industry, preferred
  • Experience 2 year of personnel management dining services operations, preferred
  • Experience in resolving issues as well as overall excellent customer service
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Solid Time Management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment.
  • Communication and leadership skills.
  • Serve Safe Certified or willing to acquire.
  • Onsite presence required.
