Member Associate III

Kitsap Credit Union is actively hiring for Member Associate I, II, and III (teller / personal banker) positions all over the Kitsap area, including : Our East Bremerton Branch. These positions are responsible for creating exceptional member experience while processing transactions, as well as offering and demonstrating all-digital, remote and self-service options.

Essential duties and responsibilities include :

  • Assisting members with their financial needs and transactions. Identifying, developing, and referring business relationships to build market position.
  • Educating and introducing current and new members to new products and services and assisting in self-service options.
  • Fostering and maintaining constructive member relationships.
  • Reviewing and maintaining knowledge of products.
  • Understanding and recommending products and services based on the member's needs.
  • Participating in sales and community events to contribute to branch and credit union goals.
  • Using effective sales techniques that result in a positive member experience and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Maintaining knowledge and adhering to operational, regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
  • Accepting and processing all financial transactions accurately.
  • Maintaining responsibility and following proper balancing procedures.
  • Promoting and effectively demonstrating digital, remote and self-serve options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced.
  • Proactively generating new memberships through branch sales activities.

Member Associate III Senior teller & Lending

  • $24 - $28 per hour depending on experience.
  • Qualifications and education requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 Year Financial Institution experience with New Accounts and Consumer Lending experience (HE / HELOC experience preferred but not required).
  • 1 Year Cash handling, customer service and / or retail sales experience.
  • Identify and contribute new ideas and methods to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of processes and procedures.
  • Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations.
  • Meet or exceed referral and sales goals.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to junior team members.
  • Assist members and non-members in opening share, new accounts and basic lending.
  • These positions do not supervise others.

    Working conditions :

  • Must be able to work Saturdays and extended business hours.
  • Ability to work in-person at Branches throughout Kitsap, Mason, and Pierce County.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
  • Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions.
