Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Detailer

A respected metal building firm is seeking an experienced Pre-Engineered Metal Building Detailer to produce accurate and timely drawings for PEMB projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MBS software . The PEMB Detailer will prepare detailed shop drawings, coordinate with engineering and project teams, review specifications, and support successful project execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate PEMB shop and erection drawings using MBS

Interpret architectural and structural plans to create complete building models

Coordinate with engineering, project managers, and fabrication teams

Review project specifications, design requirements, and client standards

Prepare anchor bolt plans, framing layouts, sheeting details, and connection details

Identify and communicate design conflicts, clarifications, and RFI needs

Support project changes, revisions, and document control

Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company practices

Assist with material takeoffs and bill of materials as needed

Qualifications

7+ years of PEMB detailing experience

Proficiency in MBS software (required)

Strong understanding of PEMB systems, components, and design concepts

Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

Knowledge of metal building codes, standards, and detailing practices

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred

Experience working with metal building manufacturers or fabricators

Familiarity with erection practices and field coordination

Background with engineered building systems or structural steel

Compensation & Benefits

$50,000 – $80,000 (DOE)
