Position Summary
ICA San Diego is a living laboratory for expanding the transformational power of contemporary art to build vibrant communities. Our exhibitions and events spark curiosity and open doors for new connections. Our classes help people connect the dots between art and their everyday lives. All our programs are designed to foster a thriving contemporary art ecosystem in San Diego. The Teaching Artist (Photography) will be responsible for planning and teaching classes to students of all ages and skill levels. They will be experienced with digital photography and comfortable working with teaching technical aspects of the medium. They will also be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and skill development. The Teaching Artist (Photography) will report to the Education Manager. We are currently accepting proposals for our ceramics and photography program, as well as our multidisciplinary workshop series, spanning all visual mediums. Work Environment and Physical Demands
The Teaching Artist will work onsite at ICA North, ICA Central, or surrounding areas. Lifting, frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and other physical movement may be required.
