Who You Are:
As a Sterile Processing Technician for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you are dedicated and detail-oriented individual. This vital role involves ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment are meticulously cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized to maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.
This a benefitted full-time (40 hours/week Nights) position. You will work 8-hour shifts. The hours are 11:00pm-7:30am Monday-Friday, with call and weekend/holiday rotation.
What You’ll Do:
·Properly decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and standards.
·Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
·Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to fulfill specific instrument and equipment requests, maintaining accurate records and inventory levels.
·Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile processing environment to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
·Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements for sterile processing procedures.
·Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
·Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control principles, and sterilization techniques.
·Ability to understand and follow established protocols and standards for sterile processing.
What You’ll Bring:
·High school diploma or equivalent;
·Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
·Previous experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare setting is desirable but not required.
