Location : Aurora, Illinois 60506 (Chicago metro area)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : September 15, 2025

End Date : December 14, 2025

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Employment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360–$1460

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois

Current BLS certification (required)

Current ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Current PALS and / or ENPC certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation (required within 30 days of hire)

Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience; Emergency Room nursing experience preferred

Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Utilize the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Deliver direct patient care within ER RN scope of practice

Educate patients and families; guide activities of other nursing staff

Maintain professional standards of nursing care

Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members

Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and treatment response

Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting requirements

Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
