A growing engineering and consulting firm is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer (Engineer II) with a strong background in structural design and public works. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is passionate about engineering and business development, and is looking to grow professionally while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform structural engineering calculations and prepare detailed design plans for multi-story residential and commercial buildings using wood, steel, CMU, and concrete framing systems, in accordance with local building codes.
• Design structures to meet windstorm and flood zone requirements, particularly for projects located along the Texas coastline.
• Conduct on-site consultations to assess structural conditions and recommend safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with drafting staff to produce high-quality construction drawings and specifications.
• Utilize engineering software such as Enercalc, STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, RAM Structural System, and AutoCAD.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with clients including homeowners, general contractors, builders, and regulatory agencies.
• Contribute to project cost management, scheduling, and overall profitability.
• Participate in business development activities and foster new opportunities for growth.
