Job description
Responsibilities :
ssess and plan work to mitigate risk in NTI and NPI programs.
Work with design leads to establish an initial first-pass test plan early in a program (pick list review to document leverage opportunity, VPD and potential test load).
Participate in or Plan and Host Simulation and Test Collaboration Workshops (STCW) early in programs, pre-DFMEA to create high-level Validation Plan.
Communicate progress in Gateway Reviews including System Readiness Summaries.
Quality approval of FMEA / DVP&R with design managers with key focus of developing standard FMEA's.
Creation of Proactive Reliability glidepaths.
Standard work creation, updating, and socialization.
Project long-term testing needs, including lab space, equipment and people.
SME for myNPI issues meetings and issue resolution.
HALT planning assistance but not ownership.
PQP Oversight.
Provide technical guidance and capture lessons learned.
Position involves working in a team environment on challenging, new product programs that include electric drive technology and will support a 80+ strong team of engineers and technologists.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) curriculum
9+ years of experience desired, 5 years of experience required
Master's or Doctorate can potentially decrease experience required
Previous product development experience (design, validation / test or analysis).
Experience with electric drive systems and / or components, with focus on electric induction motor and generator and resistor grids
Experience with structured FMEA & DVP&R process.
Experience with NPI Issue resolution process.
