HR Business Partner

This position can physically be located out of Bismarck (ND), Fargo (ND) or Rapid City (SD).
Duties / Responsibilities :
Leads the full life cycle talent acquisition process to recruit and build best class talent within the organization.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.Consults with operational management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to operational management.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Conducts exit interviews, analyzes turnover trends, and recommends retention strategies.Participates in development and conducts new supervisor training.Provides guidance and input on operational restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree from accredited university preferrable in Business or Human Resources5+ years human resource business partner experience resolving complex employee relations issuesAbility to travel on a regular basis via company plane and / or fleet vehicles to Butler locations within North Dakota, Western South Dakota, Nebraska, and Eastern Montana. Estimated 15-20% monthly travel, including visits to store locations, trainings and conferences, etc.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, team member and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsExperience supporting Union hourly employee workgroup is preferred, but teachableProficiency with HRIS systems and experience with upgrades and component implementationsSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employmentRequired Skills / Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Supervisory Responsibilities :
