Greenhouse Laborer
The Greenhouse Laborer will possess a variety of skills and abilities particularly in horticulture and landscape maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and repair.
- Ability to operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chemical sprayers, various hand tools, and related equipment.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as a forklift, two-man lift, sweeper truck, and various power tools.
- Digging, planting, and replanting flowers, bushes, trees, and moving and removing fixtures, dirt, chemicals, furniture, and related items as needed.
- Prepare soil, plant bulbs, seed, cuttings, graft and bud plants, transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings.
- Fertilizing and spraying plants to prevent disease and pests.
- Paver installation and repair
- Maintain clean work areas and space.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Two (2) year horticulture degree or five (5) years landscape work experience.High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Additional education orPossess or ability to obtain a valid Kentucky Pesticide Applicator's certification category 3.Possess a valid driver's license and submit successfully to a DMV and background check.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
