Role Overview
A Distribution Center Manager I is responsible for managing a distribution hub with a focus on safety & compliance, standardizing process & roles, measuring and improving efficiency, and providing the highest level of service to our branches and customers. Distribution Center Managers also provide leadership and support for continuous improvement efforts in warehouse management and delivery dispatch logistics.
A Sample of What Youll Do in This Role
- Drive warehouse management and delivery dispatch efficiencies, reliability and responsiveness through effective development and utilization of people, process, and infrastructure.
- Manage cost, compliance, quality, safety, customer service, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and DOT teams to determine needs and set priorities.
- Implement warehouse management and delivery dispatch systems and processes.
- Implement performance metrics and reporting standards for warehouse management and delivery dispatch in alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Develop organizational awareness, understanding, and support for adoption of best practices.
- Manage custom application equipment and provide service for other branches for custom spreading of fertilizer and crop protection products.
What You Bring to This Role
5+ years of experience in warehouse management, dispatch / logistics, or operations managementKnowledge of various regulatory fields including DOTAbility to evaluate the costs of inventory storage, handling, and delivery dispatchAbility to map current processes and recommend improved, sustainable, and measurable solutions for improvementSkills in coaching and training on systems and processesExperience identifying and assessing improvement opportunities through diagnostic efforts and data analysisExperience implementing metrics to measure operational performance more effectivelyExperience in equipment and machinery maintenance (trucks, trailers, etc.) is preferredBachelors degree with a specialization in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or Business Administration, or equivalent experienceWhat Makes You a Great Fit

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $78,200 - $104,350. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).Please note that salary ranges provided for this role on external job boards are salary estimates made by outside parties and may not be accurate.
