About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit required.

License : Valid state license required, pending licenses may be accepted.

Certifications : BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required.

Must-Have :

• Experience in both PICU and NICU.
• Comfortable with pediatric patients.
• Epic charting system experience required.

Description :

This is a pediatric float pool position.

The role involves floating to various pediatric units including intensive care, neonatal care, general pediatrics, and emergency departments.

Candidates must have experience in both PICU and NICU.

They should also be comfortable with pediatric patients.

Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.

The position requires working every other weekend and two out of three winter holidays.

A high level of flexibility is needed due to the nature of floating between units.

The float pool may require support in situations such as staff shortages or patient surges.

Certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.

An Infant-Driven Feeding Certification is required but may be submitted pending completion.

Candidates must adhere to the float policy.

Experience in float pool settings is preferred.

The role entails working with pediatric patients across multiple units, ensuring quality care and support.

Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential in this position for optimal patient outcomes.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for this role.
