Job Summary :

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable School Cafeteria Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The role involves interacting with students, staff, and other cafeteria personnel to create a positive and efficient dining experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and cook meals according to the school's menu and nutritional guidelines.

Serve food and beverages to students and staff in a timely and courteous manner.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.

Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling and storage of food items.

Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.

Collaborate with other cafeteria staff to ensure smooth operation during meal times.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear.

Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing schedules.

Preferred Skills :

Experience in a school or institutional food service setting.

Familiarity with dietary restrictions and accommodations.

Certification in food handling or food safety.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies.

Good manual dexterity and coordination for food preparation and service tasks.
