General Job Description :

This is semi-skilled and manual work assisting in equipment maintenance, and repair and cleaning of wastewater interceptor control chambers, syphon valve chambers, wet wells, attached sewer lines, and related control devices. An employee in this class performs a variety of generally repetitive duties involving physical exertion and manipulative ability in the use of hand tools or the operation of power equipment both above the ground and in the interceptor chambers, syphon valve chambers, wet wells, sewers, and related structures.
