Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $75,000.00-$80,000.00
A respected law firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting and finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strong internal and client-facing communication within a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, and collections
- Monitor and analyze A/R aging reports and follow up on past-due balances
- Coordinate with attorneys and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and client payment issues
- Apply payments accurately via check, ACH, wire, and electronic billing platforms
- Research and resolve short payments, deductions, and unapplied cash
- Prepare and distribute client statements and collection correspondence
- Maintain accurate records in the firm's financial system and support month-end close activities
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
Qualifications- 2+ years of accounts receivable or billing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of legal billing, collections, and client account management
- Experience working with electronic billing platforms and accounting systems
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Experience working with Elite 3E is a plus
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
