Inside Sales Associate

Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Associate acts as liaison between business customers and Argon Industries and is responsible for accurate and efficient entry of customer orders within the company database.

Position Responsibilities:

• Contract review

• Entering customer orders into the computer system accurately and efficiently.

• Tracking orders

• Provides support to Inside Sales as needed.

• Miscellaneous manufacturing software and database maintenance.

• Prioritizes workload to meet order deadlines and customer needs.

• Communicates order changes and other pertinent information to appropriate departments in an accurate and timely manner.

• Responds to phone calls and email inquiries.

• Miscellaneous Excel projects as assigned.

• Provides data and sales forecasts for material requirements and scheduling purposes.- Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, etc.

  • Responsible to revise and maintain updated Work Instructions relative to Inside Sales.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general equivalency degree required.

• Exposure to manufacturing and/or fabrication processes and equipment.

• Proficient computer skills required (MS Office suite).

• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet the demands of the job.

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

• Reliable, flexible, detailed, and organized.

• Communication and sense of urgency is crucial in this position when working with both internal and external customers.

• 5 years’ experience using an ERP system.
