SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Consumer Lending Manager is to assist the Credit Union in achieving its mission to make a difference in our neighbors' lives. This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to our members and staff. An important element of this outstanding service is identifying the financial needs of the member and effectively suggesting solutions that will improve the member's financial life. Additionally, under supervision of the VP Consumer Lending, the Consumer Lending Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Consumer Loan Department. The Consumer Lending Manager promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Prepares information, as directed, for audits and exams both internal and external.
- In conjunction with the VP of Consumer Lending, develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that loans are properly underwritten, processed, booked and funded in a timely manner.
- Assist with managing the department daily operations including but not limited to Debit and Credit Card processing, portfolio maintenance, GL maintenance, Balance Transfer processing, fraud detection and resolution, and department related systems and operations, including but not limited to Base 2000, PaymentsOne VROL, VRM and VAA, Ethos.
- Oversees and reviews Visa monthly and quarterly billing and reporting requirements.
- Functions as a backup Administrator for LoansPQ.
- Produces reports on a periodic basis, including but not limited to turn times, penetration, dealer related reports, and compliance reports.
- Comprehends and understands LoanLiner documents.
- Understands Indirect Lending processes.
- Actively participates in project implementation, including attending project team meetings, managing assigned projects and completing project deliverables.
- Compiles and analyzes consumer loan reports and makes appropriate recommendations to management.
- Reviews and revises loan applications and documents for regulatory compliance and conformance to established loan policies.
- Conducts appropriate operational, regulatory compliance and product knowledge training for department and branch Staff.
- Ability to travel, attend and participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long distance travel and overnight lodging.
- Compiles and analyzes sales, ROI and production reports for leadership and ALCO, making recommendations for changes and introducing new lending initiatives to help achieve overall Consumer Loan goals.
- Assists in preparation and submittal of annual branch budget; regularly monitors and controls expenses; communicates budget requirements / deviations.
- On occasion, performs all duties and essential functions of all levels of assigned staff.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment and ensuring appropriate supplies are ordered.
- Presents a professional image and interacts well with public and all levels of Credit Union personnel.
- Performs duties as assigned by management and of any department employee.
- Drives a motor vehicle as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows policies and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and CustomerIdentification Program (CIP) to ensure daily compliance with current regulations. Responsible for ensuring all assigned employees are trained and adhere to all BSA, AML and CIP policies and procedures.Actively participates in Credit Union management meetings and functions.Performs any other duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
Five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in a lending position within a financial institution.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
