Position Overview

CRA’s Forensic Services supports companies’ commitment to integrity by assisting them and their counsel in independently responding to allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, misconduct, and non-compliance. We deploy cross-trained forensic teams to help clients gain insights quickly, providing accounting, forensic, and cybercrime investigation services.

We seek curious, analytical, highly motivated candidates with 3-5 years of experience, majoring in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Information Security, or related fields. Knowledge of cybersecurity, research experience, quantitative skills, strong communication, and initiative are valued. Candidates should be adept at data analysis, teamwork, time management, and ownership of their work.

The role may include :

• Conducting security and privacy investigations, breach detection, threat analysis, incident response, malware analysis;
• Providing digital forensic support for data security incidents;
• Drafting forensic reports, affidavits, and testifying as digital forensic experts;
• Performing forensic analysis using evidence handling techniques and tools;
• Assessing data sufficiency and organizing information for analysis;
• Developing familiarity with threat intelligence, logging data, and contextual clues;
• Recognizing relationships among data sources;
• Programming and database skills (Python, T-SQL, VBA, Excel, C#);
• Ensuring analysis reliability and risk management;
• Forensically acquiring data and identifying evidence of compromise;
• Tracking adversary activity, malware, and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs);
• Analyzing network traffic, memory, and system activity;
• Providing cybersecurity assessments in line with frameworks like NIST, HIPAA, ISO, SOC2, NERC-CIP;
• Participating in practice-building, recruiting, and training activities.
