M&A Compensation Manager

At T-Mobile, we invest in YOU! Our Total Rewards Package ensures that employees get the same big love we give our customers. All team members receive a competitive base salary and compensation package - this is Total Rewards. Employees enjoy multiple wealth-building opportunities through our annual stock grant, employee stock purchase plan, 401(k), and access to free, year-round money coaches. That's how we're UNSTOPPABLE for our employees!

Job Overview: Want to help power the next big moves at the Un-carrier? Join T-Mobile as an M&A Compensation Manager, a high-impact role at the center of how we grow, integrate new talent, and deliver on our bold vision for the future. At T-Mobile, we don't just embrace change, we lead it. As the M&A Compensation Manager, you'll turn strategy into action by delivering compensation plans with precision and ensuring every integration runs seamlessly from start to finish. You'll connect people, systems, and data across teams to keep every moving part in sync while translating complex plans into clear, scalable solutions that make growth happen. This role is built for someone who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration, and getting the details right. You'll work across HR, Compensation, and business teams to bring compensation strategy to life through each acquisition, making sure every transition reflects T-Mobile's bold, inclusive culture and commitment to excellence. If you're energized by fast-paced growth, love seeing your work come to life, and want to make an impact where people and performance meet, your time is now. Join a fearless, forward-moving team that's shaping what's next at T-Mobile. Equally important, this role connects the right people and ensures all moving parts stay in sync. The role doesn't require expertise in every domain but calls for curiosity and eagerness to learn across M&A, compensation, and the broader HR landscape. Success depends on strong collaboration built on trust, constant communication, and a shared understanding of how the work connects. This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and can be based in Bellevue, WA; Overland Park, KS; or Frisco, TX.

  • Partner with enterprise compensation team on market and pricing analyses to support recommended pay adjustments during integration and socialize findings and treatments to drive successful execution.
  • Produce integration reporting and audits; resolve post-close compensation exceptions and employee inquiries.
  • Partner closely with HRIS/Workday teams and vendors to complete data loads, validate results, and ensure data integrity.
  • Implement and operationalize M&A compensation plans including data intake and mapping, job matching, compensation conversions, onboarding of pay and incentive programs into core systems, implementation of retention payments, and transactional support during the integration window.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Accounting, or Finance; Master's/Advanced Degree (Preferred)
  • 4-7 years experience in compensation or total rewards, experience with hands-on HRIS (Workday preferred) or compensation system execution.
  • Strong Excel and data handling skills, with experience managing large headcount conversions.
  • Experience running merit and bonus cycles; familiarity with equity instruments and payroll tax basics.
  • Excellent project tracking, test/cutover execution, and audit-quality attention to detail.
  • Prior M&A operational experience, familiarity with payroll systems, and exposure to global compensation treatments preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and effective execution of M&A compensation plans. (Required)
  • Strong analytical skills to handle data intake, mapping, and compensation conversions efficiently. (Required)
  • Capability to collaborate across different departments and teams to ensure smooth integration and execution of compensation strategies. (Required)
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain constant interaction with partners and team members, ensuring clarity and alignment of objectives. (Required)
