About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Central Resource Pool - ICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Nights, every other weekend / holiday

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : SD or compact state RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required; specialty certification preferred

Must-Have :

Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, Oxygen titration,

Moderate Sedation, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical patient care.

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Central Resource Pool focused on the ICU.

The role includes providing care for patients with respiratory conditions and complex cases.

Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Nurses will handle a diverse patient population requiring mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.

The average length of stay for patients is typically 4 to 9 days depending on their condition.

Candidates should possess skills in managing intravenous medications, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.

The nursing staff will participate in patient care, case management, and monitoring during procedures.

Floating to med-surg units may be required based on patient census.

The nurse to patient ratio will vary, with 1 : 3 for acute care during the day and up to 1 : 6 during night shifts.

Scrubs must be navy blue in color.

Nurses will engage in ongoing professional development and participate in unit committees.
