Position summary : The Digital Lifecycle Program (DLP) Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of projects that support the creation, preservation, and access of the Library's digital collections. The role ensures projects are prioritized, scoped, and delivered on time and within budget, coordinates cross-departmental teams, maintains stakeholder communication, and ensures compliance with accessibility, copyright, privacy, and preservation requirements. The position also tracks outcomes, refines workflows for efficiency and sustainability, and contributes to documentation and program development. Responsibilities

Project Execution & Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for DLP project-related communications; regular status reporting to stakeholders including the Head of Library IT; build collaborative relationships; review and improve processes for workflows; coordinate with internal and external partners including vendors; monitor accessibility compliance; document decisions and changes; organize requests and tickets; provide training on metadata and workflows; load digital projects and create collections.

Project Planning & Workflow Design : Develop and manage project plans; coordinate cross-departmental teams; align priorities with the Head of Digitization Services; define objectives, deliverables, and resources; track milestones, budgets, risks; document end-to-end workflows; identify opportunities for automation and scalability; route project proposals for RAW review.

Assessment & Continuous Improvement : Evaluate outcomes against objectives; share findings with stakeholders; track support requests and upgrades; document lessons learned for planning and workflow refinements; provide annual statistics for digital collections creation and usage.

Professional Development & Program Support : Maintain knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices; monitor trends in digital preservation, metadata, accessibility, and repository services.

Qualifications

Required : Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a library, archives, museum, or higher education environment.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication.

Experience leading cross-functional project teams; ability to monitor multiple projects from initiation to completion.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Jira) and documentation platforms; ability to work independently and collaboratively; attention to detail; ability to write clear, concise documentation; ability to report progress and team effort across timelines.

Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience / training.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of digital lifecycle management, digital preservation principles, and metadata standards.

Familiarity with digital asset management and preservation systems (e.g., Merritt, TIND, Samvera, Islandora); imaging standards (e.g., FADGI); metadata and digitization workflows.

Awareness of accessibility, copyright, privacy, and ethical considerations in digital collections.

Proficiency with project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

Experience in higher education or academic library environments; ability to analyze data and project performance metrics to drive decisions; ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

Salary & Benefits
