Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with recent acute care experience and EPIC proficiency for a day shift position in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital setting on a PT Acute Care unit

Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Patient diagnoses include those seen in progressive care and medical units

Orthopedic experience preferred

All travelers may be required to float to other campuses within the health system

Uses EPIC for electronic medical records, and experience with EPIC is required

Position duties involve providing therapy to patients with a variety of acute medical and orthopedic diagnoses

Orientation includes non-billable modules, typically 2-4 hours, to be completed during the orientation period

Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Background check required with no open cases accepted

RTO must be submitted with initial application; additional time off requests after submission are not accepted

Requirements

Current NC state PT license required if applicable

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 6 months of recent acute care experience required; candidates with primarily SNF experience in recent years or new grads will not be considered

EPIC experience required

Education must be verified through a third party; education from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list not accepted

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location; locals will not be considered
