January 16 at 5 : 00 p.m. – January 18 at 7 : 00 a.m.

February 6 at 5 : 00 p.m. – February 8 at 7 : 00 a.m.

Position Details

Location :  Richmond, VA

Practice Setting :  Hospital-based, acute-care focus

Call Schedule :  TBD (as-needed backup to a 2-provider thoracic team)

Average Cases :  2–3 per day

ORs Available :  21

Support Staff :  OR team, ICU support, hospitalists

Patient Population :  Adult & geriatric

EMR :  EPIC

Required Procedures

Bronchoscopy, EBUS, EUS, VATS, robotic thoracic surgery, tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, pericardial window, thoracotomy, decortication, lung resections (segmentectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy), mediastinoscopy, and more.

Additional Areas of Care (Preferred)

Experience with :

Achalasia, advanced lung disease (COPD / pulmonary fibrosis), anti-reflux surgery / GERD, esophageal disorders, chest wall tumors, diaphragm procedures, lung cancer, mediastinal masses, mesothelioma, pleural disease, rib plating, thoracic outlet syndrome, thymomas, tracheal stenosis, and related conditions.

Submission Requirements

Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery

Active Virginia license

BLS & ACLS

Local providers only – mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
