About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Project Management to establish and lead its enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will be responsible for standardizing project controls, driving delivery excellence, and ensuring that a portfolio of transportation and infrastructure programs is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves building and maturing the PMO, implementing governance and metrics, and developing a high-performing team grounded in Lean principles. The VP will also be tasked with leading or overseeing the delivery of projects in compliance with specific standards and requirements. Applicants for the VP of Project Management position at the company should have a strong background in project and program management, with a focus on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects. The role requires a candidate with an active PMP certification, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and at least 15 years of total project / program management experience, including a minimum of 7 years in senior leadership. Experience in Caltrans projects and a proven track record in establishing governance and performance dashboards are essential. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of project management standards, Lean principles, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and build trusted relationships with various stakeholders.
