Data Center Physical Security Specialist, DC Security Amer-Southwest

AWS is looking for an exceptional Data Center Security Specialist with a strong track record of supporting security programs within cleared facilities demonstrable program/project management experience comprehensive program security knowledge and a deep understanding of government security programs processes and requirements.

As a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) at an accredited AWS site you will own the execution of multiple security disciplines in support of fast-moving classified operations and manage a wide array of projects designed to protect personnel National Security Information and critical infrastructure from insider and external threats. You will also be responsible for managing onsite security forces. You must obsess over internal and external customers and successfully deliver support and services in an environment where priorities shift extremely fast. You must be able to operate independently manage security projects continuously triage and prioritize accordingly communicate clearly and compellingly THINK BIG and outside the box and deliver exceptional products/service.




Key job responsibilities
The selected individual will be responsible for managing physical security operations developing post orders defining security procedures handling site incidents working with security equipment participating in construction projects and to drive day-to-day process improvement activities and managing vendors.

Duties include ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures and participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies.

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills flexibility to work in dynamic environment exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

- Experience with access control and CCTV systems
- 6 months experience in security roles preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus.

- College Degree (Bachelors) or Background in one or more of: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces) Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate) TSA Security Screening Correctional Facility Officer
- 2 years Security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience training military experience or education)
- 1 year Leadership experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
