Challenge
We are seeking a solution oriented, customer obsessed senior candidate to lead our global Customer Engineering team within R&D. As a Senior Director, Customer Engineering, you will drive deep technical partnerships with our strategic customers. This high impact role will deliver revenue growth and improved retention through a design partner program. You will collaborate with various organizations within OneTrust to discover, assess and deliver value to our customers across various domains and verticals. Within the design partner program, you will manage all activities leading up to a successful delivery of customer requirements, including designing, building and delivering solutions, sometimes co‑developed, that meet OneTrust architecture and platform standards.
Mission
Build and lead a team of highly skilled engineers while serving our strategic customers to adopt and scale on OneTrust solutions and platform. Serve as a trusted advisor to our strategic customers by partnering within OneTrust and providing technical and solution oversight to all their requirements. Engage in customer roadmap requirements and prioritize deliveries to these customers across short term and long‑term capabilities aligned with OneTrust product roadmap.

Responsibilities
Build a solution centric, customer obsessed global Customer Engineering team through your leadership and mentorship
Maximize design‑win opportunities across strategic accounts and reference design partners by supporting them with deep timing expertise and tailored solutions pre‑sale and post‑sale
Establish deep technical relationships with key customers including system architects and technical management, serving as trusted advisor on timing
Deliver training programs and technical contents (technical collaterals, application use cases, prescriptive architecture, competitive analysis) to GTM teams that increase sales and implementation effectiveness
Impact roadmap and product definition through your application and customer insights
Define and enforce engineering excellence standards including architecture principles, code quality, observability, and system resilience
Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resource availability
Implement innovative technologies
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Provide technical oversight to your team
Ensure projects are delivered according to schedule with engineering excellence and quality outcomes
Find opportunities to drive continuous improvements
Build and scale the team with onboarding and mentoring programs
Coach, mentor and guide individuals and teams to upskill and reach their full potential
Serve as the key voice of engineering in leadership forums, presenting delivery performance, quality insights, customer health and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Minimum of 18+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of successful development and delivery of complex, enterprise‑class software that results in material market impact
Recent experience in building and deploying customizable, workflow‑integrable, enterprise‑quality systems
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical solutions to customer and market needs
Proven track record building and managing global application or field application engineering team
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into action plans
Self‑starter with a track record of delivering results independently
Good understanding of delivery on cloud technologies, networking system architecture, and design methodologies
Effective project management mentality along with a strong strategic and analytics approach
Salary Range
$225,150 - $337,725 USD (for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington based candidates)
