I.K. Hofmann is currently recruiting for a Lounge Supervisor in our First-Class Lounge at the JFK, NY Airport.

Starting Pay of $35 per hour
Responsibilities :
Supervise daily lounge operations and staff to ensure a warm, efficient, and personalized guest experience.
Support management in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as guest satisfaction, labor, and food cost goals.
Monitor food and beverage quality, including taste, presentation, and replenishment.
Maintain open communication with the kitchen and reception regarding flight changes, delays, or guest concerns.
Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance).
Order and manage lounge supplies and inventory to prevent waste and control costs.
Oversee cleaning and maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Train and lead lounge staff to maintain professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and operational regulations.
Maintain proper documentation, schedules, and administrative reports.
Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements of a Lounge Supervisor :
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality industry.
Minimum 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
Experience in first-class hospitality or VIP service required.
Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Thorough knowledge of HACCP rules and compliance requirements.
Proficient in MS Office and administrative management.
Ability to train, motivate, and supervise a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Consistent professional appearance and demeanor.
Fluent in English (German language skills highly desirable).
Required Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Community college, trade school, or relevant certification preferred.
Required Experience :
7 years in Hospitality & 2 years leadership.
Fine dining or premium customer service background preferred.
Experience in VIP or airline lounge environments strongly preferred.
Minimum Essential Functions :
Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
Frequently move and transport trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to move throughout the lounge and kitchen areas to supervise staff and guests.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
Work Environment :
Works near others and often shares the same workspace.
Exposure to stoves, ovens, microwaves, and sharp kitchen tools such as knives and scissors.
Occasionally works in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
May be exposed to varying temperatures in food service areas.
