- Position Overview
We are seeking two
- Senior Field Engineers
- to join our team. One will support operations at
- Hurlburt Field, FL
- , with no travel required. The second will be based in
- Virginia Beach, VA
- or
- Patuxent River, MD
- , with occasional travel to support program requirements.
As a Senior Field Engineer, you will be responsible for leading field engineering efforts including system installation, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment for high-visibility defense programs. You will serve as the technical point of contact for field activities and provide expertise to ensure mission success.
- Responsibilities
- Lead on-site engineering activities including system installation, configuration, and testing
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field; provide root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including test results, as-built drawings, and field reports
- Act as liaison between project management, subcontractors, and government stakeholders
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and technical standards
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV system commissioning or field engineering.
- Strong knowledge of leading AV platforms such as Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, Netgear, and Cisco.
- Strong knowledge of AV networking, signal flow, DSP management, and control system configuration.
- Video wall and processor installation and setup experience (Planar, Vanguard, Barco).
- Experience using software including Crestron Toolbox, Crestron NVX Tool, Dante Controller, Tesira, and Extron Videowall Configurator.
- Industry / manufacturer certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron NVX Engineer, Biamp Tesira, Dante) highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret system drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Willingness to travel.
- Active Secret Security Clearance; TS eligible
