About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2-3 years in Progressive / Acute Emergency Room

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have : Previous charge experience preferred

Description :

ER RN position available for night shifts.

Option for 36 or 48-hour workweeks.

First-time travelers welcome with 2-3 years of emergency room experience.

Any hours worked over 48 hours in a 48-hour contract will be considered overtime.

One RTO request allowed per contract.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

No floating required.

Every other weekend coverage is expected with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.

Patient diagnoses include various medical conditions such as respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiac, neurological, minor trauma, and obstetrics / gynecology cases.

Initial medical care for strokes, STEMIs, major trauma, and pediatrics prior to transfer is provided.

Unit details include procedures such as chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and procedural sedation.

Equipment used includes rapid infusers and advanced monitors.

Staffing includes an ED physician available 24 / 7, as well as mid-level providers based on daily volume and staffing needs.

Charge nurse will supervise and collaborate with 2-3 RNs and a patient care technician during shifts.

Scrub colors are flexible with no logos.

Interdisciplinary support consists of physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams.

The daily census in the facility averages around 90 patients, with 40 beds available.

Travelers will be expected to float to similar units within their scope as needed.

Modules will be completed during onsite orientation.
