Staff Electrical Engineer - High Performance Compute

Zoox's Advanced Hardware Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of sensor technology, networking, and the main compute platform for our vehicles. In this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design high-speed digital and embedded systems in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements. Your focus will be high-performance compute systems, but you will additionally mentor and direct more junior engineers on a variety of embedded systems as well as be a strong individual contributor.

In this role, you will :

• Provide engineering leadership for multiple Control modules, with focus on Compute
• Work extensively with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, integration) to ensure product success
• Drive team to consensus in dynamic environment
• Demonstrate technical ownership of your program from concept through to deployment

Compensation and Benefits

There are three major components to compensation for this position : salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $242,000 to $291,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
