OVERVIEW Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Temporary Designer to join the Design team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
The Designer plays a critical role in supporting the Creative Director and design team through the entire lifecycle of a collection — from fabric, color and print selection, concept research, and development to both runway and sales presentations.
This role is especially essential during show season, when the other Designer is fully dedicated to nonstop fittings.
For fittings to run smoothly while design development continues, the Collection Designer is responsible for handling trials, updating boards, and maintaining communication with styling and category teams and keeping the studio organized.
